TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account
Tab Trade - The Short VersionTabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker. His background tells you something. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker. The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow. What You Trade OnYou get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people prefer it after using both.Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives. What You PayThree tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you run serious volume.Execution SpeedThe execution is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.Combine that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.RegulationNow, the part that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there. That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your assessment. What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.The BonusTabTrade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.Everything in one place, with regulation, withdrawals, pricing, website and the bonus terms, is at TradeTheDay.
